OK, you get it, Roblox is awesome, but that doesn't explain why everyone has been talking about it recently. The reason for this renewed interest is that Roblox Corporation went public, and it was a huge success. Going public basically means that a private company becomes public by selling shares in the stock market. This means anyone outside of the company can buy shares and own a portion of it.
More specifically, Roblox is a platform through which anyone can build a virtual world and invite other gamers to play inside the digital arena.
Here’s a fun statistic: Over half of U.S. kids under age 16 played Roblox in 2020, yet many people still don’t know what Roblox is. But now, the world has been set aflame with Roblox fever.

Roblox allows everyone to create games. The platform allows young people to develop their own game concepts. It accomplishes this by offering a collection of game development resources that almost everyone, even children, can learn to use. Roblox also makes it simple to transform your development into an online multiplayer game, so if a game takes off, these developers will be able to scale.
